Problem
People in the developing world have limited access to economic opportunities. Scojo Foundation helps train low-income men and women start their own micro-franchises selling reading glasses. For each pair of reading glasses sold, entrepreneurs can make between $1-5.
The Gift
A Scojo micro-franchise costs approximately $100 to start. These costs include the purchase of 30 pairs of brand-new reading glasses, 10 pairs of sunglasses, eye drops, cases, cords, a uniform, and marketing materials.
