Problem
Access to information is critical to addressing the legal and human rights issues faced by people living with HIV. Too often, inadequate knowledge-sharing and research capacity create unnecessary gaps between problems and their solutions. Sometimes, this is due simply to lack of funding; but in other cases, political and social repression also plays a part.
The Gift
You can help bridge the knowledge gap by linking solution-seekers with problem-solvers. Your gift can help bring a front-line AIDS worker -- a researcher or lawyer from a country hit hard by HIV/AIDS, for example -- to Toronto to work side by side and face to face with Legal Network staff. Giving international fellows the chance to perform research and analysis with the support of the Legal Network and its resources allows them to develop new knowledge, skills and expertise that will help fight AIDS in countries where they're needed the most.
