Problem

Sadly, HIV/AIDS-related legal and human rights violations seem not to diminish in volume or severity, even a quarter century into the epidemic. Fighting the stigma, discrimination and ignorance that are both the cause and result of AIDS takes well-rounded education and training. But all too often, such specialized programs are lacking and, where they do exist, are often too far removed from the reality on the ground.

The Gift

Your gift can give a law student the chance to work with Legal Network lawyers during a summer internship in Toronto. By participating in research projects and authoring journal articles for the HIV/AIDS Policy & Law Review, interns gain practical, hands-on experience and a unique perspective of HIV/AIDS-related legal issues. Our interns have gone on to make distinguished contributions to the fields of policy, law and public health, even joining our own staff.
