In conflict and disaster settings, the protection of community breaks down. Without their community behind them, women and children are targeted for abuse. They become vulnerable to attack by strangers. They may be beaten, raped, enslaved or even killed. And there’s little they can do.

In these settings, domestic violence goes largely unpunished. Women and children have no recourse and no place to turn for help.

The Gift

Your gift will provide safehouse supplies for one month, making sure women and children don't suffer further attacks. A safehouse provides them with protection from their attackers. There they can recover, receive medical treatment and counseling and pursue justice, if they so choose.
