Understanding key legal and policy analyses can be crucial to defending the legal and human rights of people affected by HIV/AIDS. But many such documents are available only in English, making them inaccessible to front-line activists who do not speak the language. There is an especially urgent need for essential documents to be translated into Russian, Chinese, and several Asian and African languages.

The Gift

Your gift could expand the library of AIDS, law and human rights documents and tools available to emerging civil society movements in non-English-speaking countries. In 2005, the Legal Network compiled a CD-ROM containing one of the most comprehensive collections of human rights documents (in English, Spanish, French and Russian) related to HIV/AIDS. Your support would allow for greater translation and distribution materials via the CD-ROM and our website. As important new advocacy materials are developed, translation is the key to making them useful where they are most needed.
