Living in the rural countryside in Lebanon and Yemen, thousands of children between the ages of 6 and 13 are forced to opt out of attending school because their families’ financial hardships require them to get involved in child labor. For many, that means 10-12 hours a day in domestic labor, farming activities, and manufacturing jobs.

The Gift

CHF’s programs in Yemen and Lebanon are combating dangerous child labor practices by working with families who cannot afford school fees and supplies for their children. We have already helped more than 3,000 children return to school. Your gift of $40 will keep one child in school for an entire year, and will be matched by CHF’s own efforts to work with families and their communities to find sustainable solutions for the long-term.
